The PSA nitrogen generator uses carbon molecular sieve as adsorbent to produce nitrogen. Under pressure, the carbon molecular sieve has greater oxygen adsorption capacity than nitrogen adsorption capacity. A PLC controls pneumatic valves to alternate adsorption and desorption between two towers according to pressure changes, achieving oxygen/nitrogen separation to produce nitrogen at desired purity levels.
